The Tustin Chamber would like to recognize Tustin Area Historical Society as our Member of the Month for October.
The Tustin Area Historical Society was founded in 1976 for the purpose of preserving the rich and colorful history of our local area. To accomplish this, they rely on membership dues and proceeds from their Annual Old Town Home and Garden Tour since there is no admission charge to visit the Museum.
These funds allow the Society to maintain and enhance their Museum, provide programs to stimulate historical interest in the area, protect historical papers and photographs for future research and to continue their History in A Box program for the over 100 third grade classes in the Tustin Unified School District.
As a member of the Society, you will receive their newsletter, Heritage, that announces the programs presented at our general meetings and keep you up to date on Museum news. They also regularly send out historic information in what they call “30 Seconds of History”. Memberships start at only $30.00 a year for individuals and $100 for a business membership.
The Museum, located at 395 El Camino Real, is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. weekdays, and every Saturday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The Tustin Area Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Memberships and donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
