The new city Manager Jeffrey Parker spoke to the monthly gathering of the Tustin Chamber on Wednesday morning July 11th. In attendence were most of the City Council and many interested Chamber Members who wanted to see the new City Manager and hear what he had to say. After introducing himself (he is new to the job in the last few months) Mr. Parker spoke of the status of the City Budget and assurred the membership that Tustin had done an excellent job of maintaining the important services the City provides despite a challenging tax revenue environment. The good news is the tax revenues are on the rise again and things are looking up! The audited Financial statements of the Tustin Chamber are available on line at the city website. Transparency is important!
The Police Officer of the Month Award was presented to Officer Jeremy Laurich for his commendable service to the Tustin Community and our safety. This is the beginning of the 28th year the Tustin Chamber has presented the Officer of the Month award. Chief Jordan spoke about the unveiling of the new Officer of the Month Wall in the Tustin Police Headquarters that is dedicated to our friend Jack Schaeffer who started the award presentations.
