Nighttime Closures: Median Barrier Removal Continues
What: Crews resumed construction activities with the demolition of the concrete barrier between the carpool lane and regular lanes. The removal of the barriers will make room for a second carpool lane on I-5 between SR-55 and SR-57 to ease congestion and alleviate bottlenecks. This activity can only be done at night and requires closures.
When: 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, Sunday, Jan. 5 to Thursday, Jan. 9.
Where:
Northbound I-5: Carpool lane and left lanes between First Street and SR-22
Southbound I-5: Left lanes between the SR-57 connector and Fourth Street
Southbound I-5: Carpool lane between Gene Autry Way and First Street
Southbound SR-57 carpool connector to Southbound I-5
